Frequently Asked Questions

  • For standard parts, not including assembly, quotes can be turned in a few days. For more complicated assemblies and weldments, quotes can take longer. Usually your primary contact at ELO Engineering will let you know if there will be a delay in getting a quote turned. 

  • Our standard lead time is 5 actual weeks, or 35 actual days. Some work takes longer than that, especially if we have to partner with outside services. For example, we do not do sand blasting at ELO Engineering, so that would have to be outsourced, adding approximately a week to the lead time. 

  • This depends on what is meant by full assemblies. We can put together units to a certain point. We do not have a standing ESD safe environment, so we do not insert things like circuit boards into units. We would recommend partners for that.  

  • Yes, ELO Engineering is ISO 9001:2015 certified and goes through an ISO Audit with AMTIVO. You can see our certificate on our Quality Control page. For a copy of our ISO certification, please request one at info@elo1.com

  • Yes, but this can depend on the order. We might use a different press brake if it meets the specifications for the project. The same tooling is used to ensure consistency. 

  • There are many companies that can do metal fabrication. ELO Engineering is ideal for those projects where you need a lot of metal fabrication services. Because we can cut metal, bend it, install PEM insertions, weld it, grind it, treat it, paint it (wet and powder) and kit or assemble the project, we are able to control our lead times and pricing. If you only need one or two services, we might not be an ideal fit. For example, we don’t just paint parts. We only paint parts if we had some part in the assembly of them.
